We designed the extension to look like a mini version of the house itself with a continuous strip of glass completely separating the house and the extension. The transparant cut between the volume was the key component in the approval of a 4 meter extension that was otherwise not permitted.
The lush green roof ensures that the extension feels like part of the garden instead of enlarging the built environment. Thanks to the large roof light, the clients can enjoy the green roof from inside their home as well.
